COVID 19 – Virus Update 14 July 2021

14 Jul 2021 | Anne Nohra

BCAC has been carefully monitoring the updated health advice and COVID case numbers in the Canterbury Bankstown LGA and will be implementing changes to advice previously issued to you.

  1. Non-essential podiatry visits will be postponed for 4 weeks. Residents who need podiatry due to their health condition will receive podiatry services and additional precautions will be in place for these clinicians.
  2. NDIS worker visits for social support will be suspended.
  3. Hairdressing services will be postponed for 4 weeks

As previously advised, all other allied health or medical reviews that can occur via telehealth will be arranged using that method.  If an assessment or review is needed in person, the practitioner will be allowed to enter the premises provided they meet the entry screening criteria set by NSW Health.

The current health advice is that residents should only leave the facility for essential reasons eg.. medical appointments.

Please advise the facility manager ASAP if you have any medical appointments arranged for the next 4 weeks.

We will keep you informed as new information becomes available.

Thank you for your support and patience during these restrictions.
