COVID 19 – Virus Update 15 February 2021

Updated NSW Health Advice

NSW Health have advised residential aged care providers that residents can now have a maximum of 5 visitors per day.

Masks are still required to be worn by staff and visitors, and all visits must still occur in the residents’ room or outdoor areas.

Areas of concern have been identified in Victoria from 27th January to now.  Anyone who visited between the 27th January and 13th February, will need to talk to the village manager.  Depending on whether or not you visited an area of concern, you may be excluded from visiting an aged care facility.

Anyone who has returned to NSW from Victoria on or after 13 February cannot visit any aged care facilities in NSW.

COVID Vaccination rollout

We anticipate receiving advice this week on the vaccination rollout and we will let you know as soon as we receive the information.

We do know that the vaccinations will be administered on site at each village for residents and staff.

The Commonwealth Government is still finalising the consent process and we will forward this to you when we receive it.

A fact sheet on the COVID vaccine will be provided.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
