Re: COVID-19 case at Yallambee Village

Following the COVID swab tests conducted on 4 August for residents living on the top floor of Esme Hilton House we have received notification that one resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

The resident’s family have been notified and have given permission for me to advise you the resident has no symptoms of COVID and they are currently clinically stable.  The resident was fully vaccinated over 2.5 months ago.

The other residents who were identified as a close contact of the positive worker have all tested negative. All staff results are also negative.

We have tight infection control procedures in place and have restricted access to the top floor of Esme Hilton House to essential staff only. Staff working in this area are not rostered to work anywhere else at Yallambee.

We are working closely with the Public Health Unit, NSW Health and the Commonwealth Department of Health and this will continue over the weekend.

I will provide further communication over the weekend if anything changes, otherwise I will update you on Monday 9th August.

Thank you for your support and patience.
